Racing for GT1 starts tomorrow!

The season is officially upon us. Tomorrow being the first race of the new GT1 series hosted by Paul Hatfield and Troy Kendall. It appears that there are 8 teams on board for the early March opener. Fastkart is the place to race and usually during the off season the parking lot gets its share of dirt and debris. So look for dry, cold, and dusty conditions for the first race of the year.

Now if the ASERS group had its act together there would be a mock version of Sebring but that is run in Florida where the sun is out and 80º temperatures run in to the early evening. With the event taking place in Utah the chances of inclement weather are rather high.

So following the tradition of the SLCF1 series a early spring race in March is the norm. Look for fantastic racing as the brushless 4300 and 19T 4wd electric touring cars go at in style. Two 30 minute races allow for plenty of race time as well as a second race to redeem oneself if the first is a bust. Spoked rims are still in the rules but body styles are wide open as the field will have unlimited choices.

We will post results on this site tomorrow.
