Petit Le Mans - October 13th

It's time to go racing! The Petit Le Mans is the final on-road race in Utah and the best. Drivers from all over the states form teams to go head to head in this unique format modeled after the American Le Mans Series.

Take your car of choice, perhaps 4WD touring car and race against a 1/10th pan, or those feisty 2WD Porsches in the GT2 class.
It’s time to settle those arguments about who’s faster ... for good. The American Scale Endurance Racing Series presents
the “Petit Le Mans” in Salt Lake City on October 13th. 4 classes battling for class honors and the overall victory.
This is what we at ASERS do... scale looking cars... racing on a scale version of a real circuit... racing in a scale format of the
legendary endurance sports car racing known as Le Mans. It’s time to experience the excitement of team endurance racing.

September Event news.

We are moving our Porsche Cup race to APEX hobby on September 8th. This is the Utah State On-Road Championships and Porsche Cup will be a part of the action.

To add to the excitement of racing on a prepped surface we are going to allow Stock brushed/brushless and foam or rubber tires for that day. 2x 30 minute races with self-marshaling as per usual.

This is a big day of racing for On-road racers in Utah so there are multiple classes both electric and nitro to be run as well. Let's get out and support on-road racing in Utah.

ASERS visitor map...

I thought this might be cool to see where all the endurance racers might be. Say "cheese".

I'm not quite sure who is well off the coast of Africa but welcome!

Please post in the comments section of each post if you have something you would like to add to the conversation.

ALMS race recap

Here in Salt Lake City the last 45 minutes of the American Le Mans race was aborted due to a redundant press conference on KSL. They decided to fill the hour with nothing new to report from the trapped miners... not the first time a live event has been trumped by local "nothing" news.

Paul Hatfield does the double!

With threatening skies the GT2 Porsche Cup series in Salt Lake City, Utah. Out of the gate the cars that looked best in the qualifying warm up were Troy Kendall in his #23 car followed by JF McCrea in his #37 car. Jim Fred McCrea and Nicole McCrea tuned their cars to the track but with changing conditions and possible rain no one was sure what to do. Joining the group for his first GT2 event was Ryan Sagers in the #25 car. Parker in the #96 was struggling with set up as his car would go away once the tires came up to temperature. The Professor didn't take to the track during qualifying and many thought his car was in trouble. But the kids were taken to school once again as the track continued to cool off as the clouds rolled in.

Race #1 coming soon... with data

Now a nostalgic race... Pantera's, M1's.... that could be very cool.

Sexy new spoked rims from LRP

Here are some details about the VTEC brand expanding its tire line by releasing new foam tires for LRP. These tires have been made using high quality Japanese foam and are suitable for use on both gas and electric powered cars. Sold pre-glued, they come available in a number of different shores from 35 to 45.

They look fantastic. Too bad there isn't a few colors for the rims, i.e. black, grey, etc..
